Every Day It Is Mother’s Day
Every Day It Is Mother’s Day
Like birds mothers harbors their child’s until they are ready to fly. They feed on them, prepare them to walk run and fly. But they never prepare us for the storms to face once we fly. The thorns we steps on once we walk. The steep we climb once we run.
Just like my mother, a queen without a crown, unschooled but educated by life,
It still feels like yesterday when she opens her eyes and held me swiftly between her arms. Fairy-tales once upon a time i was here breathing. Middle of midnight the stars heard a voice of a young king through the galaxy milk way crying.
Falling into your arms when I was still learning on how to take a step was such a habit. Growing in a village where we had less, compared to others we were blessed, because you (mother) made miracles to every thanks giving. Remember one day you got your hand burnt while trying to pull dumpling out of the plastic, you lashed on us because we never understood your pain. But you still dished it with love. You stitched all my tore trousers so I too could be like other children, Rick Ross he’s the boss but with the number of jersey’s I had i was second to none. Even when we did not have money we never went to bed with an empty stomach.
The world is the devils playground, belly of the beast; there is something out there greater, through the galaxy milky ways only the god knows, the scientists claim. That was part of our conversations; i wish i marry a woman with some of your skills. Take care of kids showing to her man daddy was the luckiest. Even when things seemed to be falling apart between in your marriage you never lost composer. Always told us that no distance is ever enough for your love not to reach.
For that mommy I love you and shout out to the entire woman in the world who put their children’s dreams and happiness before theirs. Because it is because of you mothers’ that we conquer, your dreams entrusted onto us, we shall never fail because we understand the thrilling feeling on your faces when we make it in this concrete jungle.
I write this to my mammie and to all woman out there who never gave up on their kids. Who never gave up to the dreams of their kids? I write this to say thanks to your whooping that i stayed discipline.
Thank you for teaching me how to cook. Thank you for everything. Thank you for teaching me how to love and its okay if I get my heart broke. It’s okay to cry when I am hurt and sad. Thank you for teaching me never to lay hand on woman ,You never judged me intentionally, I remember one day on a Sunday coming from the service you got wet from the rain because you gave me the only plastic to cover myself, couldn’t deal with the flu after that not even your remedies could. And for that I write this to say you appreciated. For all the woman in South Africa and abroad, happy prospering Woman’s Day.

Memezelo celebrates with their trophy |
Memezelo secondary school Lethabong High School soccer team tasted the smell of victory when they became the champions of the newly Coca-Cola tournament talent search held in Soshanguve, Block H last Friday.
The school was one of the four that participated in
the annual tournament. The tournament, first of its own aimed to discover
talent around the Soshanguve area.
Coordinator, Richard Thobelo
said involving schools was the start to finding talent. Memezelo Secondary
School, Reitumetse Secondary School and Vaalman Secondary Schools too part in
the tournament.
The original setting of the games came to change from top four to top three contendership when Vaalman failed to pitch. Memezelo opened the first match against Reitumetse, beating it 1-0. Their second match against Lethabong ended in a draw. The final match came between Lethabong and Memezelo when both teams had four qualifying points to the finals, winning against Reitumetse and locking horns to a 1-1 draw against each other before the final battle for the prestigious tittle.
Both teams were presented with a new soccer kit jersey before the start of the final’s whistle start. The two schools battled it out till the last whistle, with Mememzelo opening their scoring before half time. Lethabong kept composure and kept on putting pressure on the defense of Memezelo trying a few shorts until they got the equalizer before the final whistle forcing the match to penalty shoot-outs.

Memezelo coach, Khotso Moagi, said he was disappointed in his team but they had room for Improvement. “This was a lesson for us and the boys should not be hard on themselves but they must just have to pick themselves up and prepare for their other league games,” said Moagi
